I feel this on a soul level! It’s so discouraging to keep at something that feels so pointless.

Love is not limited to romance though, luckily. We can still make such a difference in brightening the lives of others, plus that relationship to self that you mentioned! 😁 perhaps in the modern age, relationships have to be truly solid and real to stay together in this time of extreme everything, which is tough because most people aren’t there. And perhaps most never get there.

I’m using cynicism to protect the tiny, green shoot of hope left in my heart tho, so we’ll see.
